Kimpop and K-Pop Demon Hunters

In case you haven't heard, K-Pop Demon Hunters is only the best show on Netflix at the moment. It has the best soundtrack, the best characters, and the best food scenes. I'd consider myself a *little* bit of a fan. I've only watched the movie three times (and counting) and listened to the soundtrack a million times on YouTube. Just don't ask how many times I've listened to Your Idol on repeat. Or how many cosplays I'm planning for myself and my family.

Also, I'm co-hosting a panel on all things K-Pop Demon Hunters at this year's K-Pop MinneCon in St. Paul, Minnesota on Saturday, September 6.

One of the things I love about the movie is all the food. Especially the way Rumi eats the kimpop. So you have kimpop that's meant to be sliced and eaten a piece at a time.

Such as this kimpop.

Then you have smaller rolls of kimpop that's meant to be eaten as finger food? I'll let the image below do the talking. It's a diagram explaining how to properly eat the smaller, hand roll size of kimpop. This sign is from the restaurant I was eating at.

Then you have Rumi. In her desire to carb load, she takes a regular size kimpop roll and eats it like a hand roll. I love that about her and the movie so so much.

For the fans.

These photos were taken by me while I was in Korea in October 2023.

If you want to read more about my adventures in cosplay or going to Korea, follow my blog.

If you want to hear me, my daughter, and hopefully a bunch of other fans discuss all things K-Pop Demon Hunters, then come to my panel at K-Pop MinneCon. (P.S. I'll post an update once I know when and where the panel will be.)
